Akemi Zahara Chandler was born March 6, 1986, in New Britain, Connecticut, to DL Chandler and Meiko Chandler, and is the youngest of three. Her parents are divorced, and she lives with her mom in Farmington, Connecticut. She started her career by going on an audition in New Haven,Connecticut, for an independent film, she decided that she wanted to be an actress more than anything. After one year of college, Akemi decided to drop out of school and work full time at Trader Joe's and do little acting jobs on the side. Since then she has been an extra in another independent film, entitled "Exposure", written by Patrice Hamilton. Akemi has currently decided to go back into acting full time.
