Helena grew up in Rotebro outside Stockholm and was only a kid when she put up her own shows with herself and her baby sister. In her teens she studied drama at the Södra Latin high school and went from there to acting classes in the US. She stayed for several years and made a music video with George Michael, music videos with German techno artists and worked behind the camera in movies with non-existant budgets. She went back to Sweden intending to return to the US, but instead she was offered a role in the TV-show "Nudlar och 08:or" (1996). Her big break came in the fall of 1997 with a starring role in TV soap "Rederiet" (1992). She has also made her share of stage acting, appearing in plays by Patrick Marber or Irvine Welsh.
